Global Justice, Political Prisoners,
and Mumia Abu-Jamal

The Free Mumia Abu-Jamal Coalition NYC, operating as we have for decades under the leadership of the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal, are launching a new public initiative, calling for public education, advocacy, and demonstrations in this critical moment for global justice, human survival, and Mumia’s struggle for freedom:
GLOBAL JUSTICE, POLITICAL PRISONERS,
AND MUMIA ABU-JAMAL
Beginning with the street demonstration at New York’s historic Union Square Park on Saturday, April 26, 2025, this initiative is also being organized by:
- Mobilization4Mumia
- Campaign to Bring Mumia Home
- NYC Jericho Movement
- Mumia Health Committee
supported and endorsed by:
- Peoples’ Senate NorthEast (Spirit of Mandela)
- NYC Independent Peoples’ Democratic Uhuru Movement (INPDUM)
- PAL Awda NYC
- Struggle La Lucha NYC
The initiative focuses on the deep connection between:
- the unjust conviction and incarceration of Mumia Abu-Jamal
- the liberation struggles in Palestine and everywhere else under Western occupation
- associated political prisoners, such as Mahmoud Khalil
- the Mass Incarceration State
- Robert Brooks (NY prisoner beaten to death by prison guards)

TWISTED LAWS
(April 24th Webinar)

On April 24, 2025, Mumia Abu-Jamal’s 71st birthday, Mobilization 4 Mumia produced an amazing online webinar:
TWISTED LAWS:
Mumia, Universities, and Palestine
Watch the webinar now:
The webinar will shed light on the systemic issues that create and perpetuate a cycle of political prisoners worldwide, featuring law students and activists who will share their perspectives on how “constitutional law – in the land of the free” – is increasingly weaponized to repress dissent and create political prisoners.
This event and beyond is a Call to Action for Justice and Liberation.
Please watch and help promote widely.
