author Mike Africa Jr. with D. Watkins - Beneath the Mountain: An Anti-Prison Reader,
co-editors Dr. Jennifer Black and Mumia Abu-Jamal
Twenty-nine years ago, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge scheduled Mumia Abu-Jamal to be executed on August 17, 1995, on Marcus Garvey’s birthday.
An international movement saved him from two execution dates.
Life without parole is a third death sentence that is unacceptable.
