Twenty-nine years ago, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge scheduled Mumia Abu-Jamal to be executed on August 17, 1995, coincidentally, on Marcus Garvey’s birthday.

An international movement saved him from two execution dates.

Life without parole is a third death sentence that is unacceptable.
