Ralph Poynter Memorial
Amazing Success

On Thursday, March 21, 2024 (on what would have been his 90th birthday) from 5 – 9 PM we held a memorial celebration honoring and celebrating the life and legacy of legendary activist and organizer Ralph K. Poynter at Riverside Church in Harlem, New York,

This event is a heartfelt tribute to a true revolutionary warrior who dedicated his life to social justice and liberation struggle.

In the past five months, we have all witnessed the deaths of over 30,000 civilians in Palestine, many of them children.

Meanwhile, over 1 million children worldwide have died from what the WHO euphemistically calls “preventable causes”.

More accurately, they have been exterminated in the service of global Capitalism and Colonialism – we have never needed liberation struggle more.

When political prisoner Lynne Stewart was released from prison, she opined to the effect that, “Everyone should have a Ralph, if it weren’t for him, I would never have gotten out.”

A historic assembly of revolutionary organizers and activists gathered in the church’s Assembly Hall to celebrate the passion, impact, and energy Ralph supplied to every cause he championed, and to focus on building a movement to carry on his legacy.
