In December, activists converged on the William J. Nealon Federal Building in Scranton, PA for the three days of hearings on Mumia’s healthcare situation.
On the first day of the hearings, December 18th, a bus from New York City brought 42 activists, and car pools from New York, Philadelphia, and many other cities brought countless more.
The courtroom was packed with supporters, while a hearty contingent of street warriors braved the cold weather to maintain a powerful presence on the street outside the court building, engaging residents of Scranton and the local media.
Car pools were hastily arranged as the hearing continued for
a second and third eventful day the following week.
